Commitments made, results delivered.
TLC’s 2021-22 Annual Report was presented and approved by the TDSB in the third quarter of 2022. The publication highlights the work that was committed to in our Annual Plan that began September of 2021 and was completed in August 2022. We committed ourselves to an ambitious agenda of organizational priorities and strategic goals aimed at supporting the transformation of the aging TDSB school facilities into exceptional student learning environments and generating capital revenues for reinvestment back into school renewal opportunities. We also established a new pathway toward creating a culture of partnership & collaboration with the province which is foundational in the pursuit of TDSB’s Mission. The centerpiece of the Annual Report was the first ever TLC Report Card – a document that scores each of the twenty approved business commitments made in 2021 as either Achieved or In Progress. We are proud to have attained an achievement rate of 85% on our 2021-22 business commitments.
Our Annual Report also highlights other successes including the completed negotiation of a new school at Eglinton and Bayview (pending Ministry approval), a case study outlining how and when TLC’s Land Use Planning team can have an impact on development applications near schools and an overview of how TDSB became the first local school board to provide space in its schools for Ontario Autism ‘Entry to School Program’.
