A zoning by-law amendment application was submitted for a seniors’ residence and was subsequently amended at the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, now Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) to a 21-storey residential building with 208 units.

The proposed development is located in the Midtown Area, a community experiencing residential intensification and population growth that is presenting significant pupil accommodation challenges at all local elementary schools.

As a party to the OLT case, TLC has executed minutes of settlement with the developer to secure occupancy timing, ensuring development occupancy aligns with TDSB’s strategy for providing sufficient local accommodation.
