• Providing expert advice on all TDSB real estate matters including valuation, liability and legal interests
  • Negotiating and structuring real estate transactions involving TDSB’s real estate holdings including all acquisitions, dispositions, land exchanges, long term ground leases, joint ventures, Expropriation and property redevelopment
  • Creating financial benefits that support the TDSB Capital Program and developing opportunities to support student learning
  • Create opportunities through real estate activity, including partnerships, to support TDSB capital and/or long term accommodation plan
  • Explore real estate strategies to effectively repurpose surplus TDSB property to maximize public use and student benefit
  • Prioritizing long term student accommodation to provide equitable access to programs in all TDSB communities
  • Management of the portfolio to create revenue opportunities to repair and upgrade TDSB schools
  • Enhance real estate partnerships with the development community, public agencies and the community at large
